        Are my photos or PDFs uploaded to a server?
        No. Reading and rebuilding photos and PDFs happens entirely inside this browser, and your files are never sent anywhere. The only things fetched from the site are the HEIC decoder and PDF tools, downloaded once the first time you add a HEIC photo or a PDF — after that you can even go offline. The browser remembers only the last tab you opened and settings such as format and quality. Site-wide visit stats (page address and time on page) are counted anonymously, but they never include your photos or file names.
        My iPhone HEIC photos won't open on Windows.
        HEIC is the iPhone's default photo format, but the Windows Photos app and many websites can't open it without an extra extension. Put the photos in the "HEIC to JPG" tab and they become JPGs that open anywhere. To shoot JPG on the iPhone in the first place, choose "Most Compatible" under Settings → Camera → Formats.
        What quality should I use?
        For photos, a JPG quality of 80–90 is a safe choice: the difference is hard to see and the file often drops below half its original size. Screenshots full of text and crisp graphics like logos look cleaner as PNG. WebP is usually 25–35% smaller than JPG at the same quality.
        Can I fit a photo under a fixed size like 500KB?
        Pick a target in the "Compress to Size" tab. It finds the highest quality that stays under the target and, if lowering quality isn't enough, trims the resolution a little at a time. Handy for ID photos and document uploads with size limits. Photos already under the target are left as they are, since re-compressing would only cost quality.
        Are the capture date and location kept?
        No. Each photo is drawn onto a canvas and saved fresh, so EXIF data such as the capture date, camera model and location (GPS) is not included. That also makes it a handy way to strip your location before sharing a photo. Rotation is applied to the image before saving, so pictures won't end up sideways.
        How many photos can I do at once?
        Up to 200 at once. The real limit is your device's memory, so running many 48-megapixel photos on a phone may slow down or stall — shrink the long edge or add them in smaller batches. Safari on iPhone and iPad scales any photo over about 16 megapixels down to fit (a browser limit).
        The WebP button is disabled.
        Safari can display WebP images but can't create them. Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Samsung Internet can save WebP. Converting WebP to JPG or PNG works in Safari too.
        Can I merge PDFs or pull out just a few pages?
        Add your files to the "Merge & Split PDF" tab and choose "Merge into one" to get a single PDF joined in the order you added them. In the page list below you can drag pages (or use the ‹ › buttons) to reorder them, remove pages you don't need and rotate sideways pages. To pull out a few pages, type something like "3-5" under "Split by range"; list several groups separated by commas, such as "1-3, 4-6", and each group becomes its own PDF in a ZIP.
        How good is the quality when converting PDF to JPG?
        Pick the resolution in the "PDF ↔ Image" tab. 150 dpi is plenty on screen; choose 300 dpi if you'll print or zoom into small text. Text-heavy documents look cleaner as PNG than JPG. Each page is drawn at no more than about 33 megapixels (about 16 on iPhone and iPad) — up to A3 fits even at 300 dpi, so only larger drawings get scaled down.
        Can I turn several photos into one PDF?
        Choose "Image → PDF" in the "PDF ↔ Image" tab and add your photos: you get one PDF with one photo per page, in the order you added them. You can pick the page size (A4, Letter or matching the photo) and the margin, and iPhone HEIC photos work too. Photos are re-saved before they go in, so details such as the location (GPS) where they were taken are not kept in the PDF.
        Are bookmarks, links and form fields kept in the merged PDF?
        Everything you can see on the pages — text, images and tables — is carried over as is. Bookmarks (the outline) and links that jump to another page inside the document are not (links to web addresses are kept), and fillable form fields may no longer work as editable fields. Keep your originals and use the merged file separately.
        Does it work with password-protected PDFs?
        PDFs that ask for a password when opened can't be opened here. PDFs that open without one but carry security settings such as print or edit restrictions can only be converted to images — they can't be merged or split. There's no feature for removing security settings.
